Produced in collaboration with the Scottish Institute of Sport, HRV Athlete is an app for athletes to record RR Intervals via a hands free bluetooth monitor. The data is then stored on the device for further analysis and storage.
An athlete can record a session lasting 10 minutes whilst following audible instructions given by the app. The data is then saved on the device where it can then either be emailed to Sport Scotland or uploaded to Smartabase.
The app makes use of the brand new Bluetooth 4.0le api as well as integrating the Google Protobuf api in order to connect and communicate with Smartabase.
The universal iPhone, iPad and Android (in progress) app was built using native Objective C including the bluetooth framework api and uses Google Protobuf libraries to allow data communication with Smartabase.
